A small Light in the Darkness                     Completed                     Read for 3 Hrs.

This book is about kids who overcome their social pressures and live their religion. It talks about the examples they set, and how people notice them. It is very sweet and heartfelt.
I like this book because it is inspiring. it is realistic fiction, but it makes you think, " Hey, I could do that." It aso is very sweet. There is one story that is in the form of a letter. it is from a boy who's brother has died in the militery, and is writing to the dead brothers girl friend. It is so sweet!
            A good read. 4 Stars.

Amazing True Stories                         Completed                                    read for 30 min

This book is about small events that are amazing that really happen. They vary from a dead guy who was elected as congressmen, to a man who disapperead in a feild, and a girl who gave of electric waves, causing alot of problems.
This book is pretty amazing, but I have trouble beiliving it, although I suppose that every onc and a while luck combines with someone doing something stupid and you get an amazing event. What suprises me ost is how alot of these occur because people are stupid, like the prisoner who sued the jail for letting him escape.
This book had a writing style that wasn't engaging, but had good content. 3 Stars.

Feet of Clay                                              Completed                                Read for 7 Hrs.
Taking place in Ankmorpork, a huge city, Feet of Clay is about several murders and their mysteries. The first victim is an old man, who is a priest. The second is a dwarf, also an old man, who bakes weapons.( Yes, in this book the dwarfs BAKE weapons, some of their items include Battle bread, and Throwing Scones) It’s up to the Watch( Policemen) to find the murder and unravel how it connects with the poisoning of their ruler.
I like this book, a lot, because it covers all the bases I look for in a book. It has an exciting plot line with a deep mystery, combined with a descriptive, insightful, and funny writing style that makes the book a great read. It also has some points about human nature that are extremely true, but never really brought up.
In one scene, the ruler ( before he was poisoned) talks to the commander of the Watch about why he has ruled so long. He talks about how most people think that what they want is a good honest government run by good honest people that does good things. He states that what they really want is to have consistency, things to stay the same.  I find this very true, because unless people are unhappy with the government. They want things to stay the same.
A great book and read, 5 *STARS*.

Big Nate strikes Back                    Completed                                         Read for 1Hrs
This book is about a sixth grader who is trying to deal with an arch enemy, a crush, and a huge project for which he isn’t prepared for. He breaks his arch enemy’s nose, spills egg salad all over his crush, and is partnered up with a snobby girl for his project. Follow him as he tries to get through 6th grade year and win a gym championship.
I read this book because my brother got it and really liked it. The book is very similar to Dairy of a Wimpy Kid, but with new humor and drawings. I would classify this genre as the Elementary-Level-Book-that-Exaggerates-Middle-school-and –makes-fun-of –it. These types of books are getting pretty big. Also, in the book there was a girl that got all 100 in everything and thought she always would. That just makes me angry because that is entirely impossible, due to the fact I have teachers that don’t give a hundreds and when you get to high school there will be AP teachers that feel that if 30% of the people in their class have A’s, then they are not making the class hard enough. ( Trust me I know, my brother has a teacher like this)
This book is written well and is very clever, with good drawings, comic strips, and a good sweet plot line.
       A good read, 4 Stars.

Arthur and the Round Table                                              Completed                         Read for 1Hr.
     Spoiler alert
This story covers all of Arthur’s Life. It begins by telling of his birth and how he claimed his kingship by pulling the sword from the stone. Next it talks about how he wed Guinevere and formed the round table. Sir Galahad the greatest knight ever, comes for a short time, sees the Holy Grail, then dies. Then it talks about how Sir Lancelot was one of the greatest and most powerful knights and Arthurs best friend.  Unfortunally, he had a thing for Guinevere, which led to an affair, which led to Guinevere almost being burned( For it was a crime back then) which led to Lancelot having to rescue her, which triggered a big war that ended in almost all the knights dying and the death of Arthur.
Let me just say that this is one of the most depressing stories I have ever read.  I mean come on. It seems like everyone dies at the end.(Is it repeating Hamlet?) I mean come ON, Sir Galahad, my favorite knight, has to die in this version! Then there is this whole Lancelot affair thing. Why couldn’t Guinevere have been faithful? Couldn’t Lancelot have shown more restraint? He was Arthur’s best friend after all. But no, they had to go betray Arthur and lead to the death of all but the bad people and one knight.  Plus, once they killed Galahad I was done, I mean he only got 2 pages out of the countless ones.
This book was written poorly, it dragged and was hard to understand sometimes.
This book was very depressing, a struggle to get through because it was boring, so I’ll be nice and give it 2 stars.

This book gives an over veiw of Hodgkin's Lymphoma, a type of cancer. It includes quotes from people with Hodgkin's disease, an overveiw of the symptoms, treatments, and how to cope with the disease.
I liked this book because it gives factual information but wasn't boring. I love the study of cancers because they are so interesting and this book gave alot of information.
I currently know a 5 year old who was just diagnosed with a very aggresive cancer. She had a brain tumor and after they removed it and tested it they found it was cancerous.
This book was good so it gets four stars.

Sourcery                                      completed                       read for 5Hrs.

Sourcery is about wizards and a sourcerer. A sourcerer is a wizard cubed, the eighth son of an eighth of an eighth son, but are not normally seen because wizards are not technically supposed to have children. This sourcerer comes to Unseen University(the school and domian for wizards) and takes over the university. He also takes over the world. Can Rincewind, a wizard lacking in magic, and a dangerous and beautiful girl save the world?
I liked this book as it was another humoress book. the plot was exciting and the description made me feel present for the book. The whole concept was really interesting. I also thought the romance in ti was sweet. Sometimes it was boring but it was all in all good.
I didn't really make any connections.
This book is really good, 4 stars.

Jingo is a Fantasy book about two very diffrent countries that are on the brink of war. The tension have arisen because an island has popped up in the middle of the ocean that divides them. As riots and assinations break out in Ankmorpkpork, one of the countries,( more of a city really)it's up to the watch(policemen) to set order. They go under cover in klatch (the other country) to get to the bottom of this whole ordeal.
I really like this book because it is funny. I find it hard to have humor in my life because i am not good at gettiing jokes, so this book was very good for me. It also is a great story, with an exciting plot line, and a deep mystery. This book has it all!
I connected with one of the characters who doesn't quite fit in, because she is a werewolf. Iam not a werewolf, but I know how it is to be weird. However she is accepted in the watch(policeforce) because they are all weird. In my life my friends and I have accepted that we a all weird, so I fit in.

I have read this book before and am currently reading it to my brother, who really loves it. The story line is full of adventure and the tone that is so pro-environment makes the story a great read. i also love it because it is so sweet. The Windwalker                               Completed                                Read for 3Hrs.

The Windwalker is about an old man who awakens to find that, due to his extremely old age, he has been tied to a scaffold ( a raised platform on which Native Americans place their dead.) despite being on the scaffold, he is still very much alive. Winter has set in and he is at the mercy of the snow and wind. While he is up on the scaffold he repeatedly asks "Grandfather", who is the name of the Native American's god, why he has not gone west to the spirit world. His bones are brittle, his joints are creaky, his skin is wrinkled and sagging, and he is blind, so he doesn't see why Grandfather has not let him die. He contemplates, and then, being a very pious man, he reaches the conclusion that he has more left to do in life. He struggles and eventually breaks free.

After breaking free he wanders around, falling occasionally, until he hears wolfs. The wolfs eventually catch up to him, but he falls down a hole, and finds, to his dismay, a hibernating grizzly bear. Grandfather gives him courage and he slays the beats, using it for warmth. Now that he became warm, he sets off to find people. he eventually finds his family, but the trails are far from over. At the end of the book and throughout, he learns valuable lessons.

This book is a good read because it is well written, with poems about life and it's lessons, and gives wonderful insight into another culture that, though studied, is not given a lot of detail. After reading this book you just feel good, like what you read was a wholesome book. It teaches great lessons and has an exciting plot. This book is written by the same author as Charlie's Monument, one of my favorite books. The Windwalker has the same sweet heart throbbing story.

I highly suggest this book 5 stars.

Because of Winn-Dixie                          Completed                          Read for 2Hrs.

Because of Winn-Dixie is about a girl, who's father is the preacher, who finds a dog. She names the dog Winn-Dixie after the store she found it in. She and the dog go on adventures together. They meet new people and while they do so, they learn  important  lessons about life, such as: Life is full of sorrow and sweetness. And Don't judge people until you know what they are feeling.

I know this book is way under my level, but I am pretty much out of books to read and I don't like going to the library currently. Besides, it is a very sweet story. I really like this book because it is very heartfelt. As you read you are reminded of those Life Lessons that you've been taught. I also love the symbols in the book, like the tree with the bottles hanging from it that represent the ghosts of people's pasts.

This book is written very simply with no hard vocabulary words, as it is for children. But the organization is wonderful and the sentences flow very nicely.

A good book for children 3 stars.

The Collected poems of Emily Dickinson               218-227     read for 1/2 hr

I read the time and eternity poems. These are mostly about death and coping with death. They are also about the afterlife.

I love these poems. They are so deep, its amazing. Especially when you see the truth in them. There is something about the way emily writes poetry, it just moves me. I think it moves alot of girls. I read a poem to my friends,
" I died for beauty, but was scarce,
  adjusted in the tomb
when one who died for truth was lain
in an ajoining room

he questioned softly why I failed
for beauty i replied
and i for truth the two are one
we brethren are he said..."
They all absolutely loved it. I don't even really get the message, yet I have memorized that poem.

These poems are a work of true beauty. 5 Stars.

But what they find in the will is a game, a tricky game that has them convinced one of the heirs is a murderer. Will they ever beat Westing and get the fortune?

This book is a classic. It is an awesome puzzle. When i found the solution I thought, wow you should have seen that. Your so stupid. This book is amazing because it doesn't follow any stereotypes. The ending is amazing. I also like that even though the book could be dark at time sit had a wonderful happy ending.\

An amazing book that everyone should read, 5 stars.

Tales of beedle the bard                  completed                   read for 2 hrs.

the tales of beedle the bard is the stories from the book that first appeared in J. K. Rowling's Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. It contains the stories of Babbity Wabbity and her Cackling Stump, about a witch who takes revenge on a king, The Warlock's Hairy Heart, about a man who locks away his heart. The hopping pot, about an evil wizard who is haunted by a cauldron. The Magical Fountain, about a fountian that people adventure to, and the most famous one, about the Deathly Hallows.

This book is okay. It is written very simply and is somewhat boring. The insights it gives from dumbledore are very interesting, but the book doesn't have the writting that the Harry Potter's have. Reading it more than once in a period less than a year can make the book seem very poor. So it is a book to read sparingly.

A good read for Harry Potter fans. 3 stars.

The giver is about a boy living in a utopia who is guven the job of reciever. The Reciever recieves memories of the world that once existed and still exists outside of his perfect world. With these memories comes pain, choices, and secrets. Jonas, the reciever has to make a choice and decide if he wants to change his community.

I like this book because it is well written. The whole idea of the book is very intresting to me. I rember, when i first read the book, ( this is my second time reading it) that I was very sup[rised when I found out how the releases worked. It was just so awful, the thought of them doing that. i was very happy when Jonas took Gabriel to save him from being released.

I never really liked the ending, because it left something more, but I like to think that Jonas makes it to Elsewhere and the GIver come too. And that the community got released. Perhaps it really does end that way, because in LA in fith grade(when i read the book) we talked about how it related to the wall that seperated Germany and how it all came crashing down.

         A good book 4 stars.

This historical fiction book is about a girl who went through Pearl harbor. She wakes up in the morning to the sound of bombs. Her family, with the exception of her dad, who is currently repairing a ship on a military base, Run outside and find that there next door neighbor, a Japanese girl named Akiro, has lost her parents. As they struggle to make it through the bombing, Janey and Akiro become friends. The rest of the book talks about the refugee camps they went to, and their quest to find their lost parents.

This book is really awesome because it is so interesting. It is from the point if view of a 12 year-old who has recently moved to Hawaii, and is currently friendless. But as she struggles to cope with the threat of the bombing, she discovers friendship. It is also to relate to her when she is struggling not to cry in front of her younger brother because she knows it will scare him. I felt a little like that when i discovered that the earthquake had hit japan right where my grandfather lived and that we couldn't contact him.

This book is a good read, so it gets 4 stars.

The Graveyard Book                          Completed                read for 6 Hrs.

The Graveyard Book is about a boy who's parents and sister are brutally murdered. He alone survives, and with no one to care for him, he stumbles into a graveyard. Once in the graveyard, his recently dead parents appear and request that the ghosts there care for their child. they agree. He become Nobody, or Bod. The reader will follow him on his adventures in the mysterious world of the dead, and his quest to bring his families murderer to justice.

I really like this book because the action never ended. A new adventure was always waiting to begin. I also found the story very sweet and heart-throbbing, especially at the end. Also the idea was so creative and didn't follow the stereotypical ways of some books.

I thought this book was written very well, with vivid scenes and colorful dialogue that brought the story to life. That coupled with the drawings at the beginnings of most of the chapters, made the book very interesting to read.

i thought that this was an overall good book that deserves 4 stars.

 Enacted upon earth,-

  The sweeping up the heart
  And putting love away

  Until eternity."

This book is a collection of poems written by Emily Dickinson, of whom i am a big fan. the book covers poems about Life, Love, Nature, Time and Eternity, (My favorite section) and the single hound, which i don't really understand.
The reason i used that poem is because i find that that poem is one that i can decipher completely and i appreciate how truthful it is, having felt that way before.
I love these poems, even though they are somewhat hard to understand, i just love how deep they are!

Olive's ocean is about a girl who is facing many problems in her life. She has a bad relationship with her family, and recently got a piece of the journal of Olive, a shy quiet girl that went to the main character's school and didn't have many friends, who recently died. She even gets caught in a stupid love romance that ends poorly for her. the reader will travel with the main character as she tries to come to terms with her life.

i really like this book because it is so sweet. he main character does so many sweet things for olive, although she is dead. She writes olive's name in chalk at the site where she passed., and brings bottled ocean, the one place that olive wanted to go but never could, to her house.

Night                                                       0-20                                             read for 20 min.

Night, a nonfiction book written by a survivor of the holocaust, begins in a town where the Jewish population remains oblivious to the danger from Germany. One day a few of their population is captured and endures the cruelty discrimination threw upon them. There is only one survivor, but when he comes back and tells the tale of how the Jews were forced to dig their owns graves, how the babies where used for target practice, and how one child had taken three days to die, no one believes him.Soon German soldiers arrive in the town. their first impression is nice, they appear to be well mannered men, then the Gestapo show up and the deportation begins. The story left off where the boy was in a cattle car and the train went on its way.

I really like this book, and that it is well written. I believe that this book is a good source for information about the holocaust. I feel bad for the author, who lived through this tragedy, and after a 10 year vow of silence, finally wrote this book. Can you imagine trying to put this horror into words?

This is a great, but very sad book, and i hope that more people read it.

Charlie's monument                      0-22                         read for 30 min.

This book is about a boy who is born with only one arm and a severely twisted back. When he turns sixteen, his mother, his only living relative, suddenly dies in an indian attack. He finds a job being on the look out foe indians and everyday, takes a rock up to the hill that serves as his post. While that is the plot on the surface, the real story goes much deeper. Blainem Yorgason weaves a story unparalled by others about love, forgiving others, and accepting yor blessings.

There aren't really words to describe as i feel as i read this book, which is my favorite. I feel like Charlie is real, and this gives me hope. Compared to charlie, my trials are tiny. Amazingly Charlie has the capacity to forgive the doctor who led to his wife's death. This book is such an inspiration and comfort to me. It is a comfort to me because many people in my family have my physical alliments, including spina bifida and MS. It was hard for me to think about their futures and how much they would have to go through, but after reading this book i realized that people are capable of coping and enduring to the end.

While on his adventure to find his way home the dog has a series of trails, including escaping little children, a crazy old lady, being a school mascot, and running onto a football field.

I really liked this book because it had a unique point of veiw; the dog. While this book was written very simply and basic;it was easy to understand, i enjoyed the story.

I think that the dog will make it back to it's owner because that is how all happy stories end.

I would give this book 4 stars.

SARS                                        completed              read for 3hrs.

SARS is about the disease Severe Acute Respritory Virus. It became an epidemic in china in the early 2000's and spread through out the world, causing worldspread panic. SARS can lead to muscle weakness, normally has coughing and a fever, and can cause death. While it's death rate is only 6%, the disease is so contagious that it can kill populations. While SARS doesn't have a current cure or vaccine, it has been under control.

I really enjoyed this book, but found that it was boring at times. I think that while the book gave some very pleasent information that it had too much pointless information. the book would have been more enjoyable if it had been written more succinctlily and had more fact.

This book only gets 2 stars.

Pop is about a teenager who dreams of becoming quarterback for the undefeated High school team. While practicing own his own, a crazy old man comes and helps him practice. The old man is extremely skilled at the sport, and he teaches the boy how to tackle people; painfully and hard. Eventually the oy finds out that the erratic man is a former NFL player, and that he suffers from Alzheimer's. The boy continues to learn, plays a few pranks, and grows a strong attachment to Charlie. Then, at the end of the book, events occur that will leave the reader full of emotion. ( If you really want to find out what happened, read the book)

I liked this book because it was very emotional and gave me an insight into the sport of football. I don't think i liked the book as major football fans would, but i enjoyed it none the less. I didn't understand some of it, as at parts it was confusing; you couldn't tell if the author was making a joke or being real. However if you are a real football fan and love readingI suggest this book.

I give this book 3 stars. ( It wold get 4 if i liked football)

The Demon King                               completed                                       read for 10Hrs.

The demon king is about a boy who finds a mysterious medallion and struggles to provide for his family. He struggles so much that he resorts to gangs, pickpocketing, and  scavenging. The book also has a princess, soon to be queen, who wants to change the way her Queendom is run. Her life also contains forbidden loves. One of which is a wizard, and the other of which is a wizard. While both of the main characters are trying to reach their goal they meet. After which corruption in the Queendom threatens them both.

I liked this book because it had a deep plot and was written well; with good descriptions and funny little comments that made me laugh. This book was hard to relate to, due to the fact that i don't live in a world where wizards exist and are fighting for power, am not struggling to feed my family, and don't have a tangled love life.(Or any for that matter)

        tHIS BOOK GETS 5 STARS.

Twilight                                                 0-19  (Have Read before)               read for- 20 mins.

"It was from this town and its gloomy, omnipresent shade that my mother escaped with me when i was only a few months old." ( 3,Meyer)

Twilight, the oh so famous teenage girl classis, is about vampires. More specifically the whines and complaints of a teenage girl who falls in love with one. Bella, the main character, moves to Forks where she meets the oh-so handsome Edward. then she disovers his secret; he is a vampire, and the teenage drama drags on.

I never really liked the way the author writes. the reason i put the quote up is because that is on of the few and sparsley placed out sentences that actually has been written well. I mean look at the description!Don't get me wrong, i like Twilight, the movie is Awesome, and she had a great idea, but i don't like the way it was written. the whines of a teenage girl don't really appeal to me.

Another complaint I have about the books( books 1,2,and3) is how bella acts. I mean really is she the best role model? Sure the danger of hanging with vampires is so fun. ( sarcasm) But you think that the main character could be a little more chaste.

This book gets 3 stars.

Graceling                   completed                                       read for 9hrs.

Graceling takes place in a world where people hace gifts where they are exceptionally good at things, called graced. These people who are graced have two diffrent colored eyes, so they are easily spotted. Katsa, the main character, is a girl graced with killing. She is under the control of her uncle, the king of one of the seven kingdoms. her uncle makes her torture and kill people who have bothered him. Suddenly, after meeting another boy graced with fighting, she has a change of heart and runs away from her uncle. She and the boy go on a quest to assanitate a cruel and perverted king who tortures animals and children.

I liked Graceling. people told me that it was very predictable, but i found that it wasn't. perhaps it is because of genre. It is harder to predict fantasy than realistic fiction, because the author may throw something completely impossible or unreasonable at you. There were some parts in the book I didn't understand, but it was well written.

One of my main problems with the book was the attitude of the main character. She won't marry the guy she loves, even after they get really romantic. it just kinda bothered me.

I would give this book 4 stars.

The Maze Runner                              Completed                           read for 6hrs.

This book is about a group of teenagers who are stuck in a maze as part of an obscure experiment. They are living in fear trying desperately to solve the puzzle. Life inside the maze is like living in a town; everyone has a job. But things change whena girl shows up and the whole maze turns deadly. They make an attempt to escape.

I really liked this book because it wasn't predictable. Just when i thought i had the plot figured out a curve ball would be thrown at me. This is one of the few Lonestar books that I liked.

I also liked the book because it was well written. Th author would majority of the time, put a sentence that hooked the reader at the end of the chapter. This method made keep reading and made the book hard to put down.

Overall I thought that the book was great. Four stars.

Flush                        completed               read for 4 Hrs.

Flush is about a boy living in Florida who tries to bust a gambling boat owner who is dumping the human waste from his customers into the ocean, an illegal and hazardous event. He and his sister gather supplies in an attempt to get him locked up. On their way they meet other characters that really add to the story.

I really liked this book because my grandparents live in Florida and I have gotten to go to the beach while visiting them. I also am pretty passionite about the enviroment. I can't imagine doing the daring things that the character does, but i hope that if i am ever challenged to make the right choice that i can do it.

Carl Haisen has a way of writing that is very pleasing. His books are always full of humor. I would give this book FIVE STARS!!!!!!!

The Almighty Essay

This article from the New York Times discusses and goes over the importance personal narritive writting for high schoolers that are applying for college.the article is from the point of view of a parent of a high schooler.

I think that this paper makes some good points, but some of the paragraphs left me a little confused about what the author was trying to say. I enjoyed some of the lovely and descriptive sentences. I thought that this article has a good balance of thought, description, dialouge, and action. My onl problem is, from the article, the impression i got, was that colleges use the personal narrotive to judge character. But what if people lie? I think that letters of recomendation are a much better choice.

The Hunt For The Seventh                       Completed                                    Read for   5hrs.

This book is about a boy who can feel/ see ghosts. His mom has died and his dad, him, and his sister ll go to stay at a creepy manor. While staying this residence the boy discovers a haunting prophecy and mystery that he must solve before people die.

I am neutral on this book. It was somewhat predictable, which I find is what makes me hate majority of the Lonestar books. I however liked the way it was written. It was very descriptive and gave me a clear image of what was happening. It wasn't as much horror( a common miscomception due to the cover and the content) as it was a mystery.

I can't really connect to this book for a few reasons. One I don't believe in ghosts. ( Or at least thats what i tell myself before I go to bed each night.) Two i am not stupid enough nor couragous enough to wander around at night, trying to find ghosts. Three I have never lived, or would ever want to live ina creept old manor.

I give this book 3 stars.

The Evolution of Calpurnia Tate                       read for: 6 hrs.                              completed

The Evolution of Calpurnia Tate is about a girl living in a small town at the turn of the century. She makes a bond with her grandfather because they both share a love for science. They spend days collecting samples. Eventually Calpurnia is faced with a decision, due to the fact that her mom is pushing her to learn to be a proper lady. Calpurnia must choose between disapointing her mother and unshackling the chains that supressed women at that time, or strive for the seemingly impossible and become a scientist.

I related to this book when Calpurnia upon waking in the new century, finds that it has snowed, and gazes about in wonder. This morning I woke up with that feeling that something wasn't right outside. It was still dark outside and i heard this wierd sound as cars drove by. Eventually i fell back to sleep. When i woke up i secretly hoped that it had iced. I was slightly confused when i looked through the small part of my window not blocked by curtians, and was startled to see that it was white outside. I got up and found that the world had been touched by snow. I loved the way it looked and was astounded by its beauty, much like Calpurnia.

I found this book to be usless as i took nothing from it. So i would only give it 2 stars.

Killer Pizza                               read for 4hrs.                                          Completed

Killer Pizza is an exciting book about a trio of teenagers that come to work at a pizza shop. After working at the shop for a few days they are told that they have actuall been recruited for killer pizza's true purpose, to kill monsters. They go on adventures eradicating monsters.
I liked this book because it was a cool idea. It was written very simply with no intense vocabulary, so it was eay to read. I found that the writting was very basic, but the idea was the only thing i really liked, in addition to the plot.
I didn't relate much to this book, probably because it was so out there.
I would give this book 3 stars.

North of Beautiful                               Read for: 5 Hrs.                         Completed

North of beautiful is about a girl who is beautiful in every way, except she has a birthmark on her face. She goes on a quest to find true beauty, her path changing every chapter. On her journey she meets a chinese goth guy who really relates to her, due to a scar he has stretchign across his face. The rest of the book consists of her and him setting out to find what real beauty is.

I really enjoyed this book because i felt it easy to relate to. I think that alot of girls now days only see their flaws and don't see how beautiful they really are. I also believe that girls also have heard of true beauty, as people tell them that is only what matters, but none the less they still fret over their looks. I also liked how she made collages and used symbolism, especially with all the topographical things, including true north, to convey ideas to the reader.

I would give this book four stars.
